Our Rights, Our Voices Now: Peace projects from youth perspective
I co-lead and facilitated the training “Our Rights, Our Voices now!”: Peace building Projects from the youth Perspective”. It was an empowering experience for young activists involved (or willing to be) in Human Rights action, who are at their learning stage and need some support to develop their ideas into transformative actions. It was organised in the framework of the Raising Peace Campaign is to increase the action on Human Rights within the IVS movement. Among other actions to reach such goal, the Campaign empowers IVS activists to become HR and peace actors, proposing and implementing their own (collective) iniciatives.
The participants left the training with a project proposal developed and feeling empowered young because of the with skills, knowledge and necessary competences to design good quality projects on Human Rights and Peace gained over the course of the week.
It was great, after ten years of having started my own peace organisation –Subir al Sur– to have the chance to transfer insights, stories, ideas and tools which I learnt by doing.

Co-coordine y facilité la formación “Nuestros Derechos, Nuestras Voces ahora!”: Proyectos de construcción de paz desde la perspectiva de la juventud “. Fue una experiencia de empoderamiento para jóvenes activistas involucrados (o dispuestos a hacerlo) en la acción para la defensa y promocion de los Derechos Humanos. Todos estaban en una etapa inicial de aprendizaje y contaron con apoyo para desarrollar sus ideas en acciones transformadoras. La formacion se organizo en el marco de la Campaña “Mas Paz” que promueve el fortalecimiento de la integracion de la perspectiva de derechos dentro del movimiento IVS
Los participantes concluyeron la formación con una propuesta de proyecto desarrollada y una sensacion de empoderamiento debido a las habilidades, conocimientos y competencias desarrolladas y exploradas en relacion al diseño de iniciativas de sobre Derechos Humanos y Paz
Fue estupendo, después de diez años de haber iniciado mi propia organización de paz –Subir al Sur– tener la oportunidad de transferir ideas, historias, ideas y herramientas que aprendí haciendo.
